The unique Danish band will hit the stage of Temple on April 30, 2022. Their extended tour that begun in October 2021, brings them to Athens for a highly anticipated show, that will be centered around their recently released album “Windflowers”, but will also feature songs from their previous albums.
For more than twenty years, Efterklang has been pushing the boundaries of experimental, electronic, and emotional chamber-pop music. With their sixth album released by City Slang, Danish Mads Brauer, Rasmus Stolberg and Casper Clausen continue the creative journey that brought them together. During the pandemic and while live gigs were canceled one after the other, the three of them felt free to produce something new without conforming to rules, trying out new innovative ideas and without getting away from their dramatic lyricism and the feelings that assemble their idiosyncratic wonderful melodies.
The birth of the album “Windflowers” has been a homecoming moment for the band, as they return to their roots and embrace simplicity. Their many years of creative collaboration is evident in their new songs; having created some of the most beautiful and unmistakably melodic tracks of their career to date. This album is centered around existence, loneliness but at the same time how we coexist with nature.
On Saturday Aril 30, Efterklang will play one of their most intimate shows, aiming in their own words “not to play to people, but to perform and make music with the people”.
